ebay BIN question... storm... or anyone?

I am selling these basketball tickets on ebay with no reserve.

Mizzou/Illinois basketball tickets

the BIN hasn't disappeared even though there are multiple bids. I thought it disappeared after 1 bid? it has in the future. What will happen as the auction proceeds?

I believe the rule is that the bidding must reach 50% of the BIN for it to disapppear. It's really a good rule, keeps that $1 bid from killing you chance at a $400 sale. The rule is somewhat newer, but far from recent.

I don't know the rhyme or reason for it, but it's something eBay implemented earlier this year. Totally legit.

A bid at 50.01% of BIN, kills the BIN.

This, hopefully, will be in place in ALL categories during 2009.
Currently, not all cats are included in the scheme.

As noted, the scheme prevents a tiny bid from killing a BIG sale.
