Thanks John. When I was doing the 52 set in the late 70's into the mid eighties that card
was basically a throw in on a 200 card lot that I built the majority of my set with.

I have it on the cover of the sets binder.

steve- I bet the 70s/80s was a nice time (price wise) to build a 52 set.

John it was, In the lot I am talking about were 2 Mantles, I later sold the better one (prolly a psa 7) for 1k
and basically got the lot for free. The Mantle I kept later graded a PSA 5. I was not overly concerned at the time
with the reverse stains so many of the cards have them, that is one reason why I warn others today. Luckily
the Mays (also a PSA 5 with 8 corners but OC) and the Mantles were stain free.

John anytime is a good time to build a set. In the late 70's I was making 5.00 an hour.....



Card prices were lower, yes, but so was the incomes.
