Getting a rack pack graded?

I want to know what my options are for getting some rack packs graded. To my knowledge the only option I have is GAI. I believe they are $25 a rack to have graded. Does PSA have plans for the very near future to grade rack packs?

Does GAI ever offer specials on grading racks for less than $25? That seems pretty expensive considering they have been proven time and again to have graded resealed packs. The only reason I want to have them graded is to have them encapsulated so they won't get damaged.

If protecting the rack pack is your sole purpose for submitting it, you'd be better off laying it flat between two pieces on corrugated cardbaord and slipping it into a plastic sleeve. I've seen a number of GAI-graded rack packs with pinched edges and creased cellophane inside the space of the holder.

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

I think you should start trying to find a source of a supplier who makes plastic holders or containers and see if they make anything close to what you need. If not, then you'll have to shell out the money for the GAI slabs.

Look for places like this, Linky

    They mention baseball cards.

I thought PSA announced at the National in Chicago that they would begin grading Rack Packs shortly. Any updates?
