I've no idea what you're talking about, but I'm sure it's a jackass thing to say. I'm sure the OP intended this thread to be about Maddux, a true class act, and not you.
Being a Braves fan i truly enjoyed watching Greg pitch . He proved that you dont have to be a power pitcher to be a great pitcher . Great guy and class act.

A collector of all things Braves Always looking for Chipper Jones cards. Im a very focused collector of cards from 1909 - 2012...LOL
His great years were with the Braves...and being my hometown team, I hope he's enshrined with a tomahawk in his hand.
He was certainly a class act on the field and with his work ethic, but not always a "nice guy." He would frequently ignore the requests of children for autographs in the parking lot, actually walking right past the kids without any acknowledgement whatsoever (I was one of those children on several occasions). I went to paid autograph signings at which he'd get a bug up his butt and absolutely refuse to sign anything, though that's what he was there for. I have a soft spot in my sports heart for him, but he was really a pain in the rear sometimes.
Big time cubs fan and it was a sad day when Greg left but it probably helped his career numbers... no question about it - he goes into the Hall as a Brave.
When he left Chicago I hated him for leaving and actually boo'ed him at the season opener at Wrigley. All things changed after I read Rynos book. Cub management was so bad at the time. Maddux turned down more money from the Yanks and Braves and wanted to remain a Cub. He just wanted a no trade clause in his contract. The cubs would not give it to him. I think the Cubs did him a favor. He is a true class act that will be missed.
Right up there with Warren Spahn as the two smartest pitchers ever to take the mound. And had so many insightful things to say about the craft: "The secret of pitching is to make strikes look like balls, and balls look like strikes." "The tougher the situation, the softer you throw."
