Not the "official" or "unofficial" Red Sox trivia thread, just trivia. I thought with those in (or not in) Red Sox Nation waiting for April, it might be fun to try and stump each other with some Red Sox trivia. The only rule is that you have to have a valid answer to any question posted. You just can't "think" it was this or that.
However, if you get say, 10 in a row correct, Perkdog will provide the cell number of his Perkies. If you get 20 in a row correct, the Perkies will give you a personal tour of the Freedom Trail in Boston and show you the finer points of Boston, etc.
Feel free to post any trivia you can come up with.
So, here's my trivia question for all Red Sox fans...
What did a former Red Sox coach do in 1966 in a regulation game, that can safely be said will never be topped? What is his name, what did he do and where did he do it?

LEN OKRIE had sex with a Bosox fan in the RedSox Bullpen. The fan gave birth to a girl, who, 22 years later, gave birth to a girl as well. This girl, who is now 19, is one of Perkdogs Perkies!!!!!!
Am I correct?

Who was the first Black Red Sox player? and why was he so significant?
EDIT: I knew the Pumpsie answer - but I googled that his brother played for the cowboys - if that's the significance you were looking for.

That's it!
<< <i>Q: In what inning did the Red Sox shut down beer sales in the bleachers for the first Pedro vs. Clemens game? >>
I've been thinking about this question for a while and I honestly can't think of the answer. I remember it was in the 99 ALCS at Fenway and that the Red Sox won, I remember Pedro struck out like 11 or 12, and I even remember Clemens got shelled and didn't make it out of the 3rd. But I honestly have no clue when they cut off Beer Sales... I'm gonna guess the 4th innning after Clemens got yanked. I'm sure Red Sox Nation was probably starting to get out of hand at that point.
What famous baseball player with the first name of George, the middle name of Herman, and the nickname of Babe, got sold by Boston to the Yankees early last century. And I'll spot you the R and the

Got VERY lucky. I seriously had no idea.
That was the beauty of watching that game at (the old) Cask - beer never got shut off! But I certainly should have - in about the 5th inning. 4PM game time start, we were at the Cask at 12:30...I vaguely remember briefly passing out in a booth at Uno's at like 9PM later that night, but rallied to make it all the way to last call....ahhh, the good old days!
It's always fun to play the "manager's discretion" game though and guess when beer will get shut off for Yankee games or really long starts to games....but there's nothing worse than watching that gate close as you make your approach.
