The line on Florida vs Alabama game

Vegas has Florida by 9 1/2. Does that seem a bit high?

My son (who is usually up on these things) said it started at 10 1/2. I expected it to be in the 5-6 point range.

I agree. The only way Florida wins is if Tebow turns into superman. Bama is
going to be just too physical for Florida.

I hate disagreeing with a fellow Red Sox fan, but I can't see Florida winning by anything less than 13. Alabama is really physical and has a good defense, but they have not seen an offense like Florida all year. No one has because there is no one like them. I like Florida 35-21. Who has Bama faced like Tebow this year? Who has receivers as good as Florida's?

No one is like Tebow. He is the wild card in this game. However, the receivers will be covered due to the pass rush pressure Bama will throw at the Gators. The receivers will only get open if Tebow can beat the pass rush single handidly. If he is able to elude the kitchen sink, then Bama will go down. Bama has the speed to cover the Florida receivers. Their secondary is very, very good.

TCU leads the nation in allowing teams pass completions. Bama is second.
TCU leads the nation in rushing yards allowed per game. Bama is second.

I think the only way Florida wins is if Tebow plays an above average game, and John Parker Wilson and Bama turn the ball
over 2 times. If Tebow has an average game, and Bama doesn't turn the ball over, then Florida has no chance. Great defenses
usually beat great offenses in college football.

i am not a big tebow fan, but i just don't see bama's D shutting down the gators. i don't think bama's offense can keep up with them.

They better get a shot out of the title from this...I'm a Gators fan, second only to the 'Canes, but it'll all be a waste if the stupid Big12 doesn't get a real challenge from the SEC because neither 1 loss SEC team gets a shot. I'd honestly rather see Florida lose if that were the case.
