Live.com & eBay -- help needed

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have signed up for a cash back acct on live.com but I can't seem to be able to search for eBay items. When I search for items on live.com, I only get various store items. Can someone help a newbie out?

    Ok I get to my live.com account and sign in- how the heck to start that 60 minute timer and buy the card I want to apply the discount?

    You don't need to sign in. Go to Live.com, do a search for something like "1993 SP" and click on the Ebay link that shows up on the top of the page. You can then browse Ebay for the stuff you want and get the discount.

    You should see the 30% cash back icon at the top of the Ebay page, as well as a little summary on the confirmation page before you buy something. If you don't see those things, then either you're not doing it right, or it's not working for some reason.

    Definately one or the other- its not working or I messed up. I sign in and get to the right page-its when I pop in a search on the live search bar I get to ebay and see the little green box with the 30% off thing I cant get a timer or notification Im in.

    Bump! Im on the casback summary screen so I know Im logged in- I have the live search bar at the top left of the screen...WHAT DO I DO TO GET THE CASHBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Go to www.live.com and type "wii" (without the quotation marks) in the search box. The first result on the search page should say "wii-www.ebay.com" In that same clickable result it will say "Buy wii. You may get 30% off with PayPal if eligible."

    Click on that result, and it will take you to eBay through microsoft's search, and then all the eBay searches you do from there will be under the 30% off umbrella (for buy it nows). You have done it correctly if you see the 30% cashback icon at the top of every eBay page you visit. Microsoft has the search result default set only to buy it nows, so it's hard to make a mistake.

    To test it out, find an auction and click the blue "buy it now" bar, it should take you to a page to review your unmade purchase, and above the "commit to buy" bar will be a message from microsoft telling you how much you will be getting back from that purchase.

    Got it! I got a message in my Ebay and got $6 from a $20 purchase I made earlier on a test run.

    Paul, Once you buy it there will be a message in your eBay "my messages" folder that says you have earned cash back. Click on that message and follow what it says to do to open a cashback account with live.com. once you do all that it will then take about 24 hours to actually see the cash waiting for you in the live.com account.

    You may even get your CashBack INSTANT if you're lucky. It's random.

    I'm telling you, once you pop, you can't stop. Who can refuse free money?

    My fiance is a works for a very large call center (no, she's not a caller), and Microsoft PAYS THE COMPANY to have their employees use their search engine Live.com. Microsoft obviously doesn't mind shelling out cash to get the general public to use their search engine, so I don't mind making money off them! image
