Raines
Blyleven
Trammell
I would vote in the above order. Mattingly is not close. Murphy, Morris, and Rice are closer, but would not get my vote. Raines was a much better player than Rice; Raines was roughly the equivalent of Gwynn. Raines' extra walks make up for Gwynn's extra singles. Their OBPs were .385 v .388.
McGwire will have to play out later, IMHO. My expectation is that Henderson abd Rice will be the only ones elected.

<< <i>Ricky's the only lock here. Would like to see Rice get in finally, but you never know. People thought he was a shoe-in the last couple of years, but it didn't happen then and would not surprise me if it didn't happen this year as well (unfortunately). >>
Huh? Who thought he was a shoo-in? He can't get in for twelve years, but he's a shoo-in in year 13? I expect he will be elected, but I hope I am wrong. Raines is far more deserving.
all others no way
<< <i>henderson 100% rice 90%shot since I think he was close last time
all others no way >>
Question-No way anyone else gets in, or no way anyone else deserves it?
oh. and Blylevn should already be in the HOF, but im sure they wont put him in again.
rice should get in.. I would love Donny baseball too but I know better
and how do you keep the Hawk out???

Considering Mr. Henderson is the only real shoo-in this year, this has got to be Mr. Blyleven's year. With my luck he'll come up less than ten votes short or something...

<< <i>Dan Plesac
never heard of him? >>
A 3 time All-Star reliever with the Brewers early in his career in the late 80s... common middle reliever for the rest of his career. Pitched in 1064 games. Not a hall of famer.

I see 20 people on that list that were considered to be serious future HOF candidates when they were in their prime. Now I only see 5 that would be on my HOF ballot and only one or two that will get in.

Never heard of him? I would not admit that in public. Where's the love for Raines? He's an easy HOFer.

Really? I only see around 10.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
