Unopened us mint coin boxes

I have received 3 boxes out of all my us mint purchases that were either missing coins from packaging, missing the actual product or wrong items entirely.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I still have several mint boxes never opened, some from mint directly and some bought on eBay.

Should I send to Pcgs for grading or open?

2006 AGE 4 coin unc bought on eBay
2006 AGE 4 coin proof "
2007 AGE 4 coin unc. from mint
2007 AGE 4 coin proof from mint
2008 AGE 4 coin unc. from mint opened
2008 AGE 4 coin proof from mint
2008 ASE 3 proofs first strike eligable
2008 3 coin bald eagle set from mint first strike eligable

Boxes take up to much space in bank safe deposit.

I would rather keep raw but slabbed and in Pcgs box is much smaller.

Ships are safe in harbor but thats not what ships were built for.

I dont think its worth slabbing, the only way you will get your money back is if the price of gold goes up. Unless there is a small, small, chance one will 70.

With all the hoopla about the gold just being available in the one ounce coins next year. I would think professional grading would be worth the cost and trouble.
The fall back is the 69's will be worth melt plus a slight premium for the slab guarantee. And the 70's and the first strikes will always sell for a premium.
And you can ask for the original packaging back and include it in sales later on. Also the packaging does not need secure storage one of those under bed boxes works good.
