What's the going rate for a NRMT/MT raw 1986-87 Fleer b-ball set w/o the Jordans? (but need 87-88 se

Obviously I'm including both the set and stickers, but neither of the Jordans (I'll get those later). Luckily the 1987-88 set is quite affordable (even Jordan in PSA 8) so I'm not too worried about that. As for the 1986-87 Fleer set, are there any other big cards in that set I should probably get in graded form?

There are quite a few HOF and future HOF RCs in this set besides the Jordan:

    Barkley
    Drexler
    Olajuwon
    Thomas
    Dumars
    Wilkins
    Ewing
    Malone (future)
    Worthy
    Mullin (maybe)

All of these are relatively inexpensive in a PSA 8 so I would recommend that you buy them already graded.
  • I've seen them sell between $200 to $300.

Don't forget about Jabbar, Bird, Dantley, English, Erving, Gervin, Johnson, Moses Malone, Parrish, Walton. Although these are not rookie cards, they are all HOFers.

I should definetly get Kareen graded, seeing as how he's card #1 (just like I get card #1 graded for my 70s sets) as well as the checklist. And perhaps Hakeem, Larry, and Magic.

As for 1987-90, I think I can get by with just the Jordans graded.

I have one without the Jordan that is basically nm-mt. Most of the stars are already graded psa 8. The only one graded lower is a psa 7 Karl Malone. There will be a few that are 9's and a small percentage that would grade lower. No crap in there from what I remember. All cards are in card savers. I've been thinking about getting rid of it as it is the 3rd one I've put together. I figured it was probably worth $250-300 myself, but haven't looked to see what they have been going for raw plus the graded ones. If you are interested, let me know, and we might be able to work something out.

    Thanks!

So even WITHOUT the Jordans they don't come cheap. This set is not called the 1952 Topps of Basketball for nothing, is it?

It's loaded, Not overly hard to locate, but its been a pain for me to put together in PSA 9+ grade. Ive been working on it for 6 months and am 81% complete.

Luckily for me I'll be happy to settle for 8s, although even a PSA 7 Jordan seems rather pricey.
