Question about Shipping from Canada to US

I am looking for some guidance in regard to shipping a reasonable high dollar value item from Canada to the US. My question is: Do Duty charges have to be paid on baseball cards, or does NAFTA apply. Also any tips from people shipping large numbers of cards in PSA slabs(greater than 700) in a safe manner would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff
