VAM expert opinion wanted (see pics)...

...is this a VAM 29A?

I was looking in the Cherrypicker's guide and this one has similar characteristics, but not quite exactly identical to the image depicted in Cherrypicker's; but close enough to be "cousins".

    dwssws... Thanks for the Link and your opinion! I can verify that it is a 35a based on the diagnostics in your link. Lady Liberty on my coin also has the clash marks extending from her neck and the spiked lips.

  • If anyone is wondering, the 1900-O VAM29A (Top 100) is easily recognized by the point where the die crack meets the denticles. On the V29A, it meets the denticles directly below the point of Liberty's neck. On the V35A, the die crack extends one denticle further to the left.

  • MAn I wish I could take pictures like Norm. I just bought a D60, so hopefully my pics improve. But here is another example of a 29a taken with my scanner.
