Scanning question

I've been selling a few 9-card lots on eBay. To keep the cards lined up, I put them in 9-pocket Ultra Pro sheet. The problem is that the resulting image has reflections from the plastic sheet. For example, the Albie Pearson card in the following link:

1966 Topps, 9-card lot

Any suggestions about how to fix this problem? Thanks.

It looks like you are scanning with the lid open. I think the lid will put pressure on the sleeves and get rid of the reflection. It will also help the cards look more square or flatter as well. You can always use a black piece of paper between the lid and the cards to help get the look u are wanting.
If that's not the problem give us an idea of scanner and your settings.

  • Thanks for the response. I have tried scanning with the lid down, and black construction paper as a background. The construction paper was larger than the scanner surface, so the lid didn't go down all the way. Next time, I'll trim the construction paper so the lid will fit better.

Some Ultra Pro sheets are better than others, with less irregular surface features. I guess I could find a few good sheets, and then use them every time.

I have Adobe Photoshop on my PC. Does it have any tools for reducing glare or reflections?
