Question about paypal and ebay

I am setting up an account for my mother. Why can't the email address for paypal be the same for ebay and the same for the ebay screen name? Example:

Paypal email: XXXX@yahoo.com

ebay email: XXXX@yahoo.com

Ebay name: XXXX

My account is congruent like this.


Also, I have the MS Cashback on my Paypal account. They are starting to come in. Is there anyway to put that credit onto my Ebay Mastercard (the card I use with paypal)? I rather have my paypal account empty so I can fully purchase new items and still retain the protections that one gets with a credit card purchase.

    no, it goes into your paypalaccount, thats it, not to your credit card

    THATS THE WAY MINE IS SET UP, EXAXCTLY , FROM WHAT I UnDERSTAND YOU ARE SAYNG IF YOU ID IS SMURF@ COMCAST.NET AND EBAY ID OF SMURF RIGHT, MINE IS THAT WAY,IT SHOULD WORK,my PAYPAL IS THE SAME WAY

    Yes, this is true. It used to be OK long ago, but no longer. They say its for security.

    I think that was for actually using your whole email address as your ID. Unless they added that stipulation too
