1958 Topps Jim Brown RC

I few months ago I found out Jim Brown was coming to a local card show. I wanted to get his autograph and have my boys met him. I went looking for a lower grade rookie card that still looked nice. I noticed that his rookie cards tend to have centering issues. I finally found a reasonably priced card with nice centering. The first pic is how the card looked when I bought it and the second pic is how the card looks now. I was very happy to meet Jim Brown and my boys will remember it always.

That is an awesome card. What did you pick up the BGS 2.5 for?

Like I said when Mike posted his wonderful card: a signature as cool and bold as the man himself.
  • awesome card of the greatest RB to ever play the game.

I paid $125 for the card. I have no idea if I overpaid for the card but there was not much to choose from in low grade with centering this nice. It was $100 to get the card autographed.

Very nice. Did Brown let you take a picture with him? Was he talkative? He's got a great signature, so refreshing from the scribbles that a lot of athletes sign with. (I can't complain about scribbles though as my own signature is indecipherable)

He was posing with people for pictures. I did not bring my camera. He talked to all of us and was very nice. We were not rushed at all.

    So that's $125 + $100 + $20 (minimum grading fee) = $245+ great pick-up !
