eBay Feedback Frustration...

I know there have been hundreds of rants concerning this topic.

Until now, it didn't really hit home.

I just sold a guy a PSA 9 Jordan RC Sticker. He emails me and tells me he's unhappy with a spot inside the holder (but not on the card). I offer him either a full refund or $10 to get the card re-slabbed by PSA. He take the $10.

Then he leaves me a 4/5 stars in item as described feedback. I can tell because it took my DSR from 4.9 to 4.8, (all other DSRs are 4.9s) thus costing me 10% (5% which is doubled since I offer free shipping) discount off ebay fv fees.

What stinks is that this is a PSA holdered card, and I get a point knocked off (which again will ultimately cost me money on my next bill). Not sure how a graded PSA card with a large picture can get anything other than 5/5 DSR? Honestly, I don't know what spot he was even talking about--I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Ugh. It's not much money, but this kind of stuff is really annoying. I guess I'll just block him and move on...

Thank you for listening to my rant. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

I would have definitely asked him to leave feedback before sending him any kind of bribe. If he didnt like it, he could send the card back.

Maybe we can just mutually agree to remove each others feedback. How easily done is this?

I think there is a form somewhere that you can request and he can either respond to it or ignore it. Although, since he is not out anything, because you are not allowed to neg him, he may not be inclined to help

    little tips........

    1. Never do a partial refund.

    2. If you must disregard #1, never do a partial refund until after the extortionist
has left good FB and stars.

    ....................

It may not be worth using one of the few allowed fb-removal requests on the above
    described matter.

As noted, the extortionist will have no incentive to help unless he is further rewarded.

    .............

Claims that buy.com, shoplet, and other "diamond powersellers" are having their FB
safeguarded and altered by EBAY have been sent to several state AGs and media
    outlets, today.

buy.com seems to have gotten a miracle rehab on DSRs in the last 72-hours. Instances
of NEGs being removed - even though they are legit - are obvious.

buy.com runs off HUNDREDS of EBAY buyers each month. While 100,000+ small sellers
are estimated to have been suspended for tiny DSR/CSR infractions.

    .......

Take a gander at shoplet. Their biz-model's profit center is based on charging $7.50
    S+H to mail a 25-cent ball-point pen.
