...not to mention that technically the 1915 is a unique one year design, since the beard is slightly diferent than previous or later issues.

That is a nice looking '15, Brian. It looks like it has some pretty obverse green and red mingled with the golden colors.
Photos are tough -- Is the surface smooth like it looks or more matted?

The surfaces are a fine grain matte.
