Raw scans from the Chicago Sun Times show........

Probably the best raw show I've had this year. Not a lot in big money cards, but some nice stuff and this is the stuff I didn't submit on the spot. Coming up next (a broadcaster always teases)

Great cards, especially the 59s. Something looks odd on the 69 Mays on the right side, but I think it may just be your scanner.

Those 59's look like they are straight from fresh wax. Love the Banks image

very nice, i don't get raw cards like that around here unless there from 1985 to present, heck i don't even get decent raw cards from 75 back here.

    Mike -

Those 59's came from a box that I was just thumbing through while waiting on something else. When I saw them, I actually said out loud, "Oh my God". They are pack fresh, these are the best of them. I bought about 35 of them, and should have bought more. I'm very fortunate that the dealer who had them sold them to me. Props to him, he's a good friend of mine and I appreciated it. He also sold me the Banks.

    69 mays is mega-hotness!

u submitting this or keeping it raw?

i would say you have possible shot at 9, definitely better than 8, assuming back side isn't written on or been ejaculated on.

I paid $60 for the Banks and didn't bat an eye at that. The 59's I got at 75% of Beckett.

  • You stole the '59s, I also like the '63 Tresh and think the Klippstein is the best of the 59s. Nice 64s as well. What kind of grades do you expect on these?
  • Ron, what was the verdict on these fine cards? Did I miss a sub pop thread?image

    Please let us know.

  • I remember the 66 Banks came back Evid of trim I think and the 63 Tresh was an 8. Not sure on the rest.

Yep, Banks was EOT (though I will resubmit, it looks good to me) and '63 Tresh was an 8. '67 Tresh went 9 and Colavito went 8. 69 Mays went 8. Have not submitted the 59's or 64's yet, but I already have a big submission form worked up to submit at the end of the month that includes most of these.

Congrats on your pickups, they look awesome. I wish many of my cards from my last years rips looked that good.

    Thanks for sharing.

Isn't kind of nice to have raw cards that old that you can actually hold in your hands!!
  • Please keep us posted on the outcome of the '59s and '64s.

looks like some nice cards, however closer inspection seems like there are a few EOT
