What do you know about any of the following collectors? What did they collect? How would you describe their coins?
Gilbert Steinberg Allison Jackman Dr. Thomas Hall Jacob Spiro George H. Earle Peter Gschwend Harlan Smith John G. Mills T. James Clarke Carl Wurtzbach W.S. Lincoln Richard Winsor J. Wiley Aulick Kensington Adolphe Menjou
The 1950 Menjou catalogue didn't contain many Menjou coins. His name was used by Kosoff for a paltry tradeout.
After Sol Kaplan and Abe Kosoff purchased the Charles M Williams collection (Cincinnati insurance exec), and sold a few of the more expensive items, they offered the rest in the Menjou sale.

Most of the names on your list were notable collectors from the late 19th century, and whose collections were sold early in the 20th century. There were numerous colonials in each one. The Chapman Bros. conducted sales of the following: Winsor 1895, Mills 1904, Smith 1906, Earle 1912, Jackman 1918.
The Hall collection was privately sold to Virgil Brand in 1909.
The only non-American name is W S Lincoln, who was a British coin dealer in London.
PM me if you are looking for U.S. auction catalogs
I have a running list of pedigrees that's broken down into two groups - significant colonial collections and other. The names I listed are those that I felt were not commonly known and I wanted to see if anyone could give some information about any of them.
