very beautiful coin, but I don't like the sun rays on the obverse. They look too computer generated.

I like the original, the rays are individual and unique

Wow. If thats not a "gottahave" I dont know what is.
  • Is it just me, or does it look like a ray is missing from the left side on the obverse? It looks like there is too much space between the last ray on the right and Ms. Liberty. Here's basically what I think it should look like. I think the design would look more whole with the addition of the ray...

Yum! I have two complaints, though, and it's actually the same complaint twice.

    1) The font used on the IGWT motto is all wrong. It is out of character with the rest of the coin as it looks like a computer generated font rather than a hand-engraved motto.
    2) Likewise for the edge.
  • May be tough to get PR70 with those edges................

Bleck, ugly coin as the facial features make it look like a guy dressed up as a gal. image

I waiting to see what they want to charge for it. The pricing lately has been a bit out there.
PEACE! This is the first day of the rest of your life.

Agreed, the facial features are not as elegant as they should be considering the overall design.

There should be a ray there, but with more spacing than you allowed. Then it would be too close to the main device, no?

Does anyone know what the going rate will be on this one? I'm going to try to squeeze one into the budget... The Mrs. don't know about it yet....let's keep it our secret image

I'm not sure if I want one from the mint, or aftermarket slabbed by PCGS (For protection purposes, this one will go into the box of 20)...ahhh, that is if I get one.

    Thanks for your input,
    Ray

I like bullion to have the weight and metal content stated on the coin.

This coin just doesn't do a thing for me.

As much as you folks like the resurrection of these old designs I find them a bit awkward.

No doubt this will be a very popular piece but I'd much rather have the real thing.

  • I think that this coin will be one those rare times when a coin will have a high mintage....near zero destruction...

and will still not be seen very often after the first few years..... sort of like the Buffalo Dollars.
