Who uses Naxcom?

Anyone shop on Naxcom--er, I mean SportsBuy--for vintage cards these days? I'm deciding whether to list more cards there. I haven't been there much in a while--is it easier to search than it used to be?

I still think the search engine and the way the cards are listed is very poor. I check on there from time to time and post some low buy prices on cards I want a couple of. I used to get a few bites every now and then, but not lately. I had a "Buy" price of $7 for some Emmitt Smith Fleer Traded RC's which when I put it up there was about 2/3 of what they were going for on eBay, havent checked in a while, but havent been sold any.

Seems like the only thing that sells on there if crap.
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

The continued existence of Naxcom / Sportsbuy is proof positive that people are willing to throw good money after bad.

I used it to help fill in some of my 90's sets I was working on, 1998 Donruss Preferred BB and 1998 Topps Finest BB.

I actually purchased some nice cards off there graded. I bought a PSA 8 Stargell RC for $155 and some graded 1971 FB card commons.

The CONS of the site are huge. First, the shipping fees can kill you if you cant find more than 1 or 2 cards from the same seller. Alot of times due to shipping fees it is cheaper to buy more from one seller than the cheapest available due to multiple S&H fees. Second, the search engine is total crap. Third, people use it to keep either inventories for themselves or hope someone will pay 200% over EBAY prices. Memory Lane has some stuff listed there like a 1964 Topps Standup Clemente PSA 8 for like $1200.

You have to really search the nook and crannies to come up with any deals.
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set
  • I've found some steals on modern short-print cards for Topps Heritage and Fleer Tradition on Naxcom. You just have to keep your eyes open. I agree a lot of the items are overpriced though.
  • In the past I would sit cards there, higher than ebay prices and when I needed the $ they would go to ebay.

I've sold many .10 and .20 low end cards that I have no use for. I dont really need a dime and the card most likely went to a collector, so cool.
