Darkside Krause question

I have noticed in the Krause that some series are follwed by a few dates or the same series with a different KM# . The differance is metal alignment . My question is what are they talking about a M.A.D. error or a planchet defect? Anyone know? Pics would be great too .

I am not sure if I have your question right, but when they refer to coin alignment, that means when you turn the coin180 degrees in an east west or west east direction the opposite side will be upside down. When they refer to medal alignment when you do the turning the coin will be upright. If this doesnt explain your question please try again to explain it and I will try again. Olmanjon

Your explanation is correct, and the articles in the front of the Krause explains the 2 different alignments.

I can only go by my 2005 Krause, but about 1/2-way thru the "Users Guide" section in the front, there's a box with "Coin vs Medal Alignment" explained.
