Buffalo 4 coin sets - Unc or Proof??
If you could only afford one of the 4 coin sets, which would it be? I'm thinking the UNC, since according to NN Mint Stats, there are currently about half as many 1 Oz. UNC than 1 Oz. Proofs. I really like the looks of the proofs, though...
I'm a collector rather than an investor, but I'd rather collect the one with better upside potential.

I think 100 yrs from now the proofs will be much more valuable regardless of twice the mintage. However, asethetically (sp) I perfer the MS. disclaimer, I'm not buying either I would simply remind you that not all suggestions on this board are winners.
I think the one ounce proof should be the low mintage proof coin for the series as next year sales will be higher.
The one ounce UNC I think will be the only one ounce UNC coin with a W as all from the bullion series have no mintmark, so it could be considered a key.
if those two are keys and prices rise it will carry the rest of the lower coins higher. It may take time for it to happen but I think these coins are special.
All of the 1/2 1/4 and 1/10 are one year coins so they have no competition and will trade on this one year mintage.
Overall a great set selling at decent prices, you can't go wrong with either set IMO.

The choice may have already been made for you since the Proof set is now on backorder.
Hoard the keys.

Just a reminder these orders can often be canceled a week after you make them, and you have 30 days to return for refund. But once they reach backorder it may be to late.
Do I understand it correctly?
The Mint will continue strike $50 Proof Buff's with the the "W" mint mark but the 2008 Uncirculated will be a one year only type?
I would think the Proof fractioanls and the four coin uncirculated sets would be the big winners, no?
