Franklin bell lines PCGS Vs NGC

Hi Guys: It is my understanding that PCGS only requiers the bottem set of bell lines to be full to be considered a full bell to where NGC requiers both top and bottem set of lines to be full to be considered a full bell. Would this be a plus for PCGS to requier both top and bottem set of lines to be full.

Yes. I have heard the same thing about what NGC and PCGS consider to be FBL. Personally, I prefer NGC FBL coins because they are more strict, and sometimes cheaper. For example, the 1962 which is a tough date in FBL has a much smaller population with NGC. PCGS has graded 805 of these as FBL, whereas NGC has only graded 60.

I think that is the case. While not an expert on the series, the pit fall is the difference in the numerical grade....and that can be off at either service. Always important to buy the coin at your grade and not the tags. This is especially true for these specially designated ones: FBL, FS, DMPL, FB, ...
