The last six Wolverines coaches, Fitz Crisler, Bennie Oosterbaan, Bump Elliott, Bo Schembechler, Gary Moeller and Carr, all won their first game against the Buckeyes.

Bo's 1969 win has to be considered one of the greatest Michigan wins. The only other that comes to mind that could top that was the Michigan "Snow Bowl" win at the horse shoe in 1950... the final 9-3. That win, combined with the NU 14-7 upset of Illinois, sent Michigan to the Rosebowl and they beat Cal 14-6. Michigan was 5-3-1 and made to the Rosebowl which truly was a remarkable accomplishment.

I just watched that game last night on the Big Ten network. Both tOSU and Michigan used a lot of triple option in that game.
A full house backfield at times. Dan Dierdorf was the biggest OL for Michigan.
