Teletrade Prices realized coins are down big time.

I did some searching of coins sold recently on Teletrade and boy people are asking too much or coin buyers aren't buying.

I don't think I am letting go of any coins for a longtime until things pick up. Even flea/bay coins are just sitting with the MSN cashback of 25%.

What do you guys thunk.image

average coins will get below average prices if they sell at all. Special coins will get super prices. TT, ebay, HA, B&M, Stack's, etc -- all the same.

Bidding activity on Teletrade has been low (unless its me doing the bidding and then there's always some other yokel out there out bidding me)

I should have bid on this IKE.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

The stuff I have been following on TT has been going for strong money still. image

The very few coins I have taken from TT recently have apparently been for higher than reasonable reserves, without competition. They are cherrypick dice rolls; otherwise, I wouldn't be buying much if any.

Anyone who believes this bad recession won't negatively affect coin prices, is in denial, and it'll likely be much worse than we may presently believe.

i am patiently waiting and have the major sites setup to email me
if a coin comes in in the date/mint i want in a grade i can afford.

so far i have not gotten any emails. darn this hobby of collecting
    truly rare items. ;-)

i have already seen one coin go for a few bucks less then the last
time it sold a few years back. tis a good sign.

What I have notice, especially with US Gold, is the prices on eBay are very high when it comes to the BIN price compared to the realized price on Teletrade. It appears the markup is around 25%. Of course, they advertise you can get 25% back through Live. Maybe they should offer the coins at a fair price and stimulate the purchasing.

I though about buying a few 1/2, one and double eagles using the Live cashback but not at a price that basically gives the seller the 25%.

"Anyone who believes this bad recession won't negatively affect coin prices, is in denial, and it'll likely be much worse than we may presently believe. "

I am beginning to get a bit worried my self.
I think this current crop of liberals will make
the Carter administration look like a cake walk.

Times have been so good for so long, we have
forgotten how nasty it can really be.

But the second half of the Carter era was very good
for coins, if not for the general economy.

No one knows what will happen but if you are correct I will accept this as a buying opportunity. image
