Matte Proof Lincoln's for the week of 11-20

Here is hoping some of you snagged some of the MPL’s that were being sold in Baltimore. The list is at 29 with nothing new added from last week. Since next week I will be on travel there will be no updated list unless of course you Matte Heads keep posting current additions and deletions as you see them.

Beware of the 1916 Matte Proof (Ebay #120336452835) as it is obviously not. Even the Seller questions it in his description but for the sake of trying to screw someone out of a lot of money he just had to list Matte it in his title.

Till next week.

    From last weeks list :

    1909 NGC PR 62 R&B
Bowers & Marena Nov 20 Baltimore Show

It sold for $335, well below the PCGS guide of $500

I also noticed a raw re-colored 1912 proof (lot 33) did not sell.

I wouldn't worry too much about the hammer prices on the non-pcgs graded stuff. Most of it was FUGLY.

What's this worth as a PCGS 66RD? image My guess is a bit less than the current asking price (of the NGC 67RD that it is).

Close... probably at least $7500 in a 66RD holder. Depends on how nice it is in hand. At least $6500, the current PCGS list. I would offer that, and see what they say. Couldn't hurt.

Can anybody see any diagnostics on that coin? The lower obverse rim looks a bit soft.

Mathematically,Ira's '16 a great deal, considering the strong money that went for a PCGS 64RB version of the same coin in Baltimore last week. Buy this coin. In six months you'll thank yourself.

The Baltimore auction of the 1916 PR64RB added $1k to the RETAIL value of my MPL set. The whole set cost me $4,805 including $1,955 for the VDB. The PCGS "value" is now $21,200! Steveimage

Just in no situation to get that 16' right now.

Thats 16' in 64rb that went for 7.5k went for 65 money no doubt as that coin has "upgrade" written all over it.

"Can anybody see any diagnostics on that coin? The lower obverse rim looks a bit soft. "

Matt- on the NGC 67 '13, you can get some clear die swirls on the reverse around the "E" in ONE and "T" in CENT.

Something looks funny on the obverse though, around Lincoln's nose?? Maybe its artifact in the photograph?
