Ebay Fixed Price Listing - Good Til Cancelled...

I am looking into fixed price listings and would like some clarification on something. I have read previous threads on this topic and have read thru Ebays info but cannot find an answer, so my question is, if you list an item in fixed price form for a duration of good til cancelled, do you pay a fee of .35 once or do you pay .35 per 30 days similiar to a store item listing? Any help would be appreciated.

GTCs relisted after December 31, will be billed at the "then prevailing rate."

Also, all otions - that may be currently "on sale" - will be calculated at the
    then current fee.

Lots of folks are likely to get a bad surprise after 12/31, if they forget to
cancel their listings before they expire.
