  • I beg to differ on your assessment. At best that card is a 5.

    Good Grief - Yes that's a 5 or 6 sitting there.

i'm thinking of bidding on that berra with the hopes that i win it so i can bring it to the national next year along with all my 6's and 7's that are eons better than that "8" to show psa and demand upgrades--i just got my grades yesterday from my most recent submission and one of the cards came back a 6 that i thought was a shoe-in for a 7--or at least a 6.5--if that berra is an "8", then my 6 should be an 11image
  • I agree.

I have a collection of 50s to 63 vintage cards that are all over the place in quality. I feel I know the grade I will get if the card is between PSA 3 to Psa 7. ( I have a hard time telling the difference from a high end PSA 8 to PSA 10) Overall PSA does a very good job. If I lay out my cards according to grade it is easy to see the improvement from one grade to the next. However there will be a few cards that would not look out of place in a slightly higher or lower grade. This Berra however looks way out of place according to the scan. For the Registry just remember what a wise man once said "Buy the holder, not the card." Just be sure to check for frosting on the holder first.

Looks like a 5 to me too.

I have 5's that look like 7's from my last order.
