Casino Tokens

picked up a few Casino Tokens and wondering how you figure out the silver content. You know the ones, They have a gold ring around the silver core which states .999 silver. I assume the gold part is not silver as they sound strange when you drop them onto each other. I like the looks of them. Here is one I just acquired:

i thought about buying some of those also... i ended up doing a google
search which did take me to web pages stating different kinds and
their makeup. in general, the higher the domination the better!

I believe they have 17 grams of silver and the gold ring is brass. Thats a cool looking token!

  • the ten dollar "silver strikes" (as they are called) have six-tenths of an ounce of silver. some have collector value over and above the silver content. there are some web sites with information about the "collectible" strikes. basically, you are looking for strikes that are limited editions for certain special eventgs such as concerts, fights. and some collectors go after the strikes of closed casinos.
