Question about date on Morgan,near,slanted,far,normal?

You didn't indicate which mintmark, but it appears to be a slanted date in the normal position. You can count the denticles from the point of the neck to the base of the "1". In your photo, it is 2-1/2 denticles. An example of a near date on VAMWorld shows it as 2 denticles, but they don't have photos for all mintmark examples.
