Vikings CB Charles Gordon

Did anyone see the Packers/Vikings game today, by chance? Charles Gordon of the Vikings could very well have ended his career today on a punt return. He landed awkwardly when tackled, with the toe of one of his feet sticking into the ground and his body rolling over it. When the play ended, he was writhing in pain on the field, with one foot facing forward and one backward. I won't link it here, but it's on youtube if it's something you actually want to see.

I'll be saying a prayer tonight for this young man.

  • Yeah I saw it, not sure if it is career ending though. He's had a terrible season and this is just the final cherry on top.

  • It's really not that bad, his foot is just turned sideways. Ive seen alot more graphic injuries in sports, this pales in comparison. Too bad it didnt happen to Bryant McKinnie. At least Gorden tries.

I saw it & it was very bad. AP looked like he'd seen a ghost or was queezy coming off the sidelines... It didn't take long for the players to waive the trainers to the sideline.

Gordon had been a servicable return man...then again, they've never had a top 5 guy in my entire lifetime...

Great W today...It was even sweeter when I got a vmail from a buddy saying "what does it take to beat the Vikings? Answer: less than 100 yards of offense"... he then said, "well I gues it ain't over yet, but it is". Who is laughing now!
    Enjoy your collection!

  • You know, when I saw it live I thought he just broke his ankle, foot, something lower. Now that I watched the youtube replay, wow, it looks like the knee tore sideways? What exactly happened there, damn... Way worse than I thought.

I hate to see anyone get hurt in games....unfortunately that's one of the drawbacks to football. Hopefully he recovers.
