Some modern Liteside came in over the counter just this afternoon.

Modern US stuff mostly bores me to tears, but I have to admit that proof gold is lovely, even if these new coins don't have any historical appeal to me (I personally prefer OLD stuff).

The customer is a disabled vet with mounting medical bills, so I could not in clear conscience give him spot price for this stuff, which was what I had originally quoted him over the 'phone (since I really don't have that much interest in it, pretty though it is).

I arrived downtown at the meeting place totally unprepared, with no idea of what this stuff trades at- all I had done to prepare for the buy was check today's bid price for spot gold on Kitco. I am woefully underinformed on modern coinage- can't keep up with it anymore.

There was one piece of silver, too.

I know "make an offer" threads are lame, and especially when there are no pictures of the coins, but this stuff is all so new you don't REALLY need pics, right? And as to the "make offer" part of it, I'll give you my costs so you know where to start your offers.

Make me an offer on all or part of this. Enough to put a few extra bucks in my pocket after I ship it to you insured?

I would prefer to fast-flip this stuff here instead of putting it out at my antique mall booth where it might collect dust or get stolen.

2008-W Silver Eagle proof in government packaging (the box top is mismatched, from an UNC box, but the little velour clamshell case and capsule are original (I paid $30, which is within a buck or so of what the Mint cost was for it, according to his invoice).

2007 Gold Eagle UNC $5 (1/10 oz), NGC MS69 "early releases" label (I paid $90- he'd paid considerably more, through Home Shopping Network)

2007-W Gold Eagle UNC $5 (1/10 oz), NGC MS69 "early releases" label (I paid $90 for this one, too)

2007-W Gold Eagle proof $5 (1/10 oz) in government packaging (I paid $115- has the box and nice velour booklet-style holder. Sweet packaging, and a very attractive little coin, too, of course!)

Wait... there's another modern $5 piece, but this one has a bit more gold in it...

I also got a 1987-W US Constitution $5 gold proof commem recently in a swap here on BST. Original box and clamshell case and COA, but the box was for a two-coin set and the accompanying silver dollar was no longer there (maybe somebody slabbed it). So you get the gold $5 in its original capsule, plus the box for the two-coin set. Memory eludes me since it's been two or three weeks ago, but I reckon I swapped $140-145-ish worth of older type coins for this, and I wouldn't mind turning it back into old 19th century type coins, so make an offer. OFFER ACCEPTED- SOLD!
