Current Card Prices

Ran into this. I remember buying these. Title pretty much sums up what this magazine is about.

I bought a bunch of old late 1980's Becketts at a used book store just to take trip down memory lane. This up arrows used to me a lot.

    Thank God for the internet!

I think I still have several issues of CCP

A very poorly run operation, but they used to compete with Beckett fairly well back then. The multiple fonts for different sets was bad enough, but the prices were so out of whack it made Beckett seem like they knew their stuff
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

A couple of years ago, I was visiting my parents and I started cleaning out one of the 3 closets full of my cards. I found a Sports Collector's Digest from 1989. I remember I had saved it because Gary Sheffield was on the cover and one day it would be worth a fortune.

Anyway, I started leafing through it, and I saw a small ad in the back from a guy selling Fleer basketball sets. The 86 set was $50, complete with stickers. I still feel ill when I think about all of the Topps, Score, Fleer and Donruss boxes I ripped that year, all the while, not caring about the 86 Fleer set.

Check the 52 Mantle, I bet that it lasts for 25,000. I used to always turn to it when I was a kid and dream about owning one. Roll Tide Roll!!!!!!!!!!!
