of course, it doesn't say he did it during a regulation round. he could bring out a bucket of balls and hit 30 during off-time.

this might help explain it a bit: The course measures 5045 from the front tees, 5664 from the middle tees and 6111 from the back tees.
310, 326, , 328, 267 yard par 4s from the forward tees.

looks like a short-easy course (low slope). of couse, an ace has a luck element.
