Topps American Heritage? WHAAAT?

releasing at the beginning of the 2009...fusing the topps heritage brand with classic designs! Obama to make an appearance. GU/Autos at 2 per box!

What is this topps? More milking of the heritage name? Why won't topps heritage have two hits per box? All this so you can get another Obama card
out there? This bother anyone else?

    At least it appears that it will be a strictly "historical" set and not include any 2009 Heritage baseball. I'll pass on this. I'm saving up for the Heritage Competitive Eating Contest set; imagine the thrill of a Kobayashi autograph with a competition used mustard stain.

    I saw that last night. Please, Topps, stick to sports; didn't you already put enough non-sports products in your sports products for one year? do you really need another presidents set?

    They are beating this retro thing to death. I am actually glad they did not put out another Turkey Red set this year.

    If you don't like it, don't buy it. That's why I don't buy any packs or anything modern, and stick to vintage. I think it's sick what all the card manufactures have done to the hobby, and they aren't going to stop until they start spending more than they are making.

    Protect the relics = Buy Vintage

    But set collecting is so fun. I just think the jest of the thread is what are they going to do next after inserting heritage chrome cards into Topps Chrome.

    i never get anything any good anyways from packs, some guy that ends up working at pizza hut, or the felon, or a card of a grondhog or a dead book wwriter from a& g this year,that was a waste of 2 grand real quickimage

    I read these boards every day, the last thing that appeals to me is collecting vintage. There are plenty of crooks out there and I hear about them daily here. Ill
    take my chances with modern cards rather than a card that might or might not of been re-slabbed, or colored, or trimmed, or an auction that has been shilled...etc
