BGS Grading Mistake

Question:
I sent in an exquisite patch to try to get a bump from 9.5 to a 10. Didn't happen, but in the course of putting in a new slab, they they dinged a corner (and it's visible). The overall and sugrades are all the same, but certainly this impacts the value of the card. I'm so pissed when this happens. Do I have any recourse against Beckett to buy the card from me or provide me any damages or am I sol?
Intelligent thoughts appreciated.
Thanks.

<< <i>Wait, I've got an idea. You can trim the ding off the card. I don't think they'll mind......

The 9.5 was trimmed down to get an 8.5? I don't get it.

Think in the reverse. Note the older flip on the 8.5.
<< <i>But if you line them up (in scale) in Photoshop the 8.5 is smaller. I think the scans are just skewed. But obviously there's something about that card that I don't know. >>
The lower portion of the 8.5 was trimmed to get the 9.5. The original owner of the 8.5 caught this when he saw his "old" card being listed in eBay. Beckett had nothing to say the "new" owner once this was brought to their attention (well, except maybe ban the post about it).
<< <i>Granted this is probably/isn't a Intelligent response, but why did you think it was necessary to get greedy on the card. You should have been Happy with it getting a 9.5. >>
I wanted a new holder because it was chipped. While they were doing that, I figured why not try to get the bump. But the original intent was a new slab.

One thing I always appreciate about this board in my relatively short life here are the candid responses. I'm being serious. You people cut to the chase. You're like the Joe Biden of card collecting. :-)
Of course I would much rather have them be careful the first time around but I guess crap happens
Send the card back to BGS with a note telling them what happened. Once they see the damage they most likely will agree with you.
BGS also ruined a crd of mine back when I sub'd to them and they took care of me as well.

Is that based solely on those scans? I don't have a horse in the race so I really couldn't care less, but those scans are pretty low res, and the one is very skewed when you line them up.
Edit: Sorry, my point is I agree they look odd based on those scans, but it's pretty hard to tell. I'd want to see better scans of the card before and after.
I'm sure I could have been paid fair value but didn't pursue that route.

In those scans, the shoe tells the story CLEARLY.

If BGS hurts a card, they will solve the problem with vouchers.
i had to look at it repeatedly.

You don't want a guy that specializes in triming bush all day to define, Take care of you.
