Meet Chiefs and Royals Players!

For anyone in the Kansas City area, there is a fundraising event this saturday at the Blue Valley Sports Complex in Overland Kansas. The autograph session begins at 11:00am with Christian Okoye, Kimble Anders, Ted McKnight, Will Shields, and Neil Smith. There will also be several current Royals players. Cost is $10 OR a new unwrapped toy. The cost isn't too bad considering the donations are for the Toys for Tots program. Following the autograph session, there is a football game with U.S. Marines playing a team made up of Chiefs Alumni, Ameristar Casino employees and local university football players. This sounds like a good family outing and for auto seekers to add to their collection. I know I'm excited to meet the Nigerian Nightmare! I'll have every Okoye card I own for him to sign! I think Neil Smith and Will Shields will be an awesome addition too. Doesn't Will Shields have the resume to get into the HOF?

I would like to see Will Shields get it but I don't imagine he will. Shields and Kimble Anders use to come down here to Wichita every year to play against the fire department for charity and were great signers. This was when they were players, nice to see them continuing to work with the various Chiefs charity projects.

I'll see what I could do as far as rookie cards. I just wanted to add that Christian Okoye and Kimle Anders will be at the kickoff party, Friday, Nov 7 at Kelly's in Westport. The party starts at 5pm and everyone is invited! I'll be there with a stack of 1990's Okoye cards!
