Slightly OT: eBay deal of the day? Have they sold their corporate soul that much to buy.com?

Just noticed on eBay's homepage that they now have the "deal of the day", with an item from buy.com (in this case, an external hard drive). That really must be some sweet deal Buy.com has.
I'm really starting to hate the people now in charge of eBay.

Smart collectible sellers should start making their PLAN B
right away. When the big purge comes, there may be NO
notice.
At ecrater, sellers can set up a free store that can be used
as a warehouse or storage center. This will prevent the loss
of listings, if the tsunami hits without warning. You might even
sell something that you list.
................................
This is an example of the purge that is well underway. MANY such
stories play out each day, as the pogrom continues.
Longtime Barbie seller. Excellent FB/DSRs. Suspended today for 30-days,
as a result of a "policy violation."
She was selling a $100.00 doll. In the listing she noted that she could
combine shipping and "add additional dolls at $5.00 each." This note
was interpreted as "fee circumvention." The teenager from GED-ville
said the seller was trying to sell multiple-items in one listing.
Right. She was trying to "sell" a $100 item for $5.00.
ALL reason has been tossed out the window at EBAY. They are
flying blind and heading for a crash, or a radical course change.
The offending listing:
doll problem
The seller is ESL; French, in Canada.
She certainly put the offending line in a bad place within the listing, BUT, it is clear,
to any thinking person, that she is NOT selling $100 items for $5.00. The line meant
$5.00 EXTRA shipping for each additional doll.
She is closed out of the November selling period for that "violation."
They will now use ANY excuse to get rid of the small sellers.
Meantime, buy.com racks up HUNDREDS of NEGs and NEUTs every month; and.
has a stinky sell-through-rate of LESS than 3%. .........One listing expires unsold,
every second of everday.
Pad the listing counts and keep WallStreet in the dark. Great idea.
