    Don,

It never hurts to try .... Although I tried the same thing with the Mantle Master Registry set
and it .... well, it had the same chance of happening as the picture below image

    hope you have better luck!

    Not gonna happen.

They have a hard enough time putting up sets of players from their playing days.

  • yeah, but why can't the cards that they take fees to grade be in sets? i have spent alot of money on psa cards. i just should have checked the psa out a little more, like before spending several thousand dollars on cards.i already have to have certain cards graded by beckett. i know when i start getting my daughter's pujols cards graded, they will all be beckett. we almost have 500 of his cards now.. don

  • That sign would be about 1966, and it would say "ESSO", not "EXXON"".

    Never understood the name change.

    1966? 1966 Prices

Try 1956! 1956 Prices plus, what would have been $2.99? (sign in lower left corner).

Though we all know this sign is fabricated, it sure makes you ponder the good ol' days image

There's always the Collector's Showcase option. You can put whatever cards you want into one of those. Sure, there's no fancy certificate when you reach x% completion, but it's a way to show off your cards. Everyone has their own reasons to collect, so it's not my place to judge - nor am I, but I hardly think that the lack of availability of a set in the registry should be a reason to stop using a TPG.

    Just my nickel...keep the change.

This has always been a PSA registry rule. What goes in what sets has been the debate. I could understand someone wanting to collect say a "Monster Set" or whatever you want to call it, but to even accomplish that you would have to have all the cards in the other sets. What I am more saying, is I collect Steve Young graded cards. The more cards I get, the more I am just interested in the basic cards from his playing days. I don't imagine I am the only one so I understand an emphasis on these cards. My biggest concern has been oddball cards which I don't think belong in basic sets, but I guess they have the new basic to take care of that concern. I also see how opening up a set to all "cards" might create more problems then it would be worth and as Matt noted, they can't seem to get all the basic sets online right now. My Saberhagen request will hit 3 years at the next HOF election. A Monster Pete Rose set might take 5 years to get up.

Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
