My first NPB on Ebay

Ok, I have filed my first NPB on Ebay. Had two cards that sold within 5 minutes of listing them with a BIN that I put on the auctions. Sent invoice and 7 days later had not heard word one from buyer, not payment by mail or paypal, so I send another invoice and state sorry if this has already been sent. Day 10 arrives on Thursday still no payment by either method, so Friday I file a NPB. I have sent him at least two messages asking if payment had been sent by mail and should I be expecting it. Still he has not respsonded?? So what happens after I file a NPB?? As far as closing the case how long does one keep the case open??

Sorry, that sold to someone else. I just don't get the buyer because he has been buying other cards on ebay and paying everyone without issue.
The buyer has up to 7 days to respond to your case.
You need to close your case within 60 days from the time of the transaction.

Best to use the "Immediate Payment Required" feature on future BINs.
Close the NPB at the first minute of day 8, unless the guy responds "payment is coming."

I spoke to an API worker yesterday. She said the "auto pay" feature will be rolled out
before Summer. Participation will be voluntary, at first. Buyers' PayPal accounts will be
auto-debited when a BIN/Auction is bought.
Added: I missed his response that he left with his payment saying he thought he would have internet access on his vacation.
i been thinking of doing that to all of mine, wonder if they have a button where you can do a bunch at a time instead or 1 at a time
im tired of waiting my time editing stuff for ebay, have better thaings to do, like take a powernap

The "edit" feature does not allow the bulk change.
They can be changed in TL, upon expiration.
.........
The Pros: No more NPBs. No more waiting days for payments.
The Cons: Multiple buys are likely decreased. If a buyer buys more than
one item, PP requires seperate shipping to qualify for Seller Protection.
(There is a combine transaction feature on PP, but it is not always
glitch free and it is seldom easy - for me - to make work. It does solve
the seperate shipping issue.) Since I offer "free" shipping, there is little/no
incentive for a buyer to accept a refund and repay upon invoice.
One can insert lingo in the listing:
"If you wish to buy more than one
item, simply contact me before your purchase and I will make a custom
listing that allows for immediate payment on a discounted invoice."
(This would be used by sellers willing to "combine" - discount - the "FREE"
shipping in order to increase sales and get the SP from PP.)
I still get multiple-buys, but ship individually, UNLESS I know the buyer
to be reliable and honest.
API has a piece of work that would allow the buyer to "add more items,"
but it is not close to roll out. PP has a "buy more items," button, but it is
not fully integrated with the Immediate Payment Required feature on
EBAY.
As BINs become the primary listing format, changes will come quickly.
.........
On buy.com's payment platform, multiple items can be bulked into one
invoice, even though they use IPR. Thus, we know that the "fix" is
not rocket-science, and CAN be easily incorporated by EBAY, IF enough
sellers demand it.
