I had mine done at the Highland Mint in Melbourne Fla but we're going back to 1987 .

Ooops, sorry, not mass produced "bullion" pieces image

I make these at my private mint and they are 1 troy oz silver, but I sell them as limited-edition collector pieces and not "bullion":

dcarr, tell us about your private mint and current operations? Im especially interested in your opinion about current supply of larger silver supplies, and premiums being charged for "generic rounds" vs what you charge for your (can I say) art pieces?

also, what do you charge for your pieces?

I am in the marketing/advertising business and I have some clients that might want to use these.

    many thanks.

I'll be announcing more details about my minting operations in a couple months. For now, suffice to say that I specialize in design, sculpting, and engraving. I do all my own die work. I've been able to acquire the needed silver for generally 50-cents over spot, but it has been taking a little bit longer to get it than a few months go. My orders are always fairly small (around 100 to 500 ounces at a time).

The piece shown above is current production (started minting them in the summer and they will be produced until the end of the year). I sell them at $65. Current mintage is 375 and I'm guessing that the final mintage will be about 550.

The piece in the auction linked above (not my auction) was produced in the first part of this year and then discontinued. It is similar to the one pictured in my previous post, but with a proof-like finish. I see them typically sell on eBay around $100 recently. The final mintage on that one was 575.

I also have this 1/2 troy oz 30mm coin currently in production:
