How about another eBay auction thread

I know, I know you're tired of the eBay "look at this auction" threads. Saw this one and just thought I would share. Looks like a month of fun going through all the stuff and finding which cards to sell, which ones to grades and which one to keep.

    I always wondered why sellers put biblical quotes/passages in their items?
    Is that to say that we can trust them?

    Why not put a quote from "Black Sabbath"? I would bid for sure.

    correct me if I'm wrong, but does this seem like an amazing deal if you lived close enough to pick it up? I would think that the buyer (with a lot of work) could make a lot of money breaking this thing up.

    If I can come up with the last 18k, I will go ahead and buy it. If the pics are the actual cards and the quantity is accurate (sounds like they are), then I would say this would probably amount to a few thousand profit if you have the spare time to sort, grade and sell. Or, you could cash out some of that 401k and invest in a 401C(ards).

    I would think it would net more than a few thousand. I'm thinking seriously about buying it. I just don't know enough about modern cards, but I still might gamble on this. I think its a can't miss. I live in Georgia so the pick up wouldn't be that bad.

    I would be concerned that most of the good cards would not
    grade very high.

    Lowball offers are likely best.

    All that new stuff will not sell. Looks like 2/3 of the so called price is tied to that IMO.

    Great way to get rid of your 80's, 90's crap.

    there is a lot of crap to be sure. none of the vintage stuff looks to be mint and your gonna pay $2K-3K in shipping lol. in this market and this economy; maybe $8000
