2006 Cent Error or Post-Mint Damage?

Found this cent while looking through some bank rolls a little while back. Just wanted to get some thoughts from folks as to whether this is some type of clip error or done by some joker after it left the mint. Never seen anything like it before. Thanks in advance for your time and opinions.

Are you talking about that obvious vertical die crack on Lincoln's cheek?
    That's what I see.

There is a little animal hanging upside down on the reverse of this 2006 D Lincoln cent.

A Snap-On tool salesman once showed me the prowess of his pair of pliers by easily clipping a penny!
This one seems like it's seen something similar.

Looks to me like it was cut using a pair of butchers scissors or those scissors marketed by Cutco.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

That is definitely post mint damage. You should never see any zinc showing on a post-1983 cent with a genuine incomplete planchet, even ragged clips, since the planchets are coated after they are punched. Any time you see the zinc peeking out that means the coin was cut after the planchetwas coated and outside the Mint.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.
