Good day,
On the scale of 1-10 whats the worst thing youv'e ever done to yourself part deaux.
Well gentleman you all have nothing and I mean nothin', With the exception of Rube who has all of my respect in the world and who's trials are a little different, So he doesn't count for this, if this was a contest, I would have you all beat hands down, not even a contest...100% I have the best/worst ever!!! And I mean Ever! It is a miracle I walk around today!!!!
May 1995, single, between Divorce's, no Girlfriend, just Dating. (This will play in later)
My brother invites me to come to his house for the weekend, I lived in Denver, he in the Mountains 175 miles away. He has bought a new toy and wants me to come and play. It is a 1983 Honda ATV 3-Wheeler. So I go up for the weekend, we take it out in the forest to play, I have never ridin' one of these, but own a Harley and have been on bikes since I was 10 or so. I am on the thing 10 minutes, take a sharp turn lose my balance, put my Left foot down (A Big NO No) and drive up the back of my foot/leg and hear and feel breaking in my foot. Long story short, rush to the Hospital, 3 hours away, in excrutiating pain. have broken 3 bones in my foot/ankle. Have a walking cast with the rubber moulded into the bottom of the hard cast.
Go home to Denver, take a day off work and decide to ride the Harley into work on Tues morning. Making the last turn into work, hit some gravel, bike slides, goes over, I overcompensate to far, straighten up on curve, hit sidewalk curb at 20 MPH, Bike stops, I keep going. Land with my left arm out. Feel stuff break in my wrist. Ambulance to hospitol. Broke both bones in left wrist, pinky finger on left hand, and bruses, contusions, and bruised ribs where my side hit sidewalk curb. I get a nice Purple cast on my left wrist from first knuckle back from finger tips to just below elbow.
So at this point I have cast on Left Foot, Blue, Left wrist Purple.
Work thurs and fri, start feeling like crap fri afternoon, collapse at work, feel spasms in my stomach, can't stand, Ambulance to emergency room.
Emergency resident does exam, says I am having mucsle spasms due to the bruised ribs, gives me valuim and some sort of muscle relaxer, sends me home. My boss gives me ride home, I take valuim and relaxer, go to sleep, have the weirdest dreams that I am dying, wake up and my stomach is puffed out like a basketball, filled with blood obviously. Call 911, ambulance to hospital. As soon as I get in emergency room, they take one look and go into crisis mode, had every doctor and nurse in the emergency room with me. Burst Spleen and I have just about bled out, priest is there. Not because they care, but because of the Malpractice exposure they call in the best Internal Surgeon in Denver from vacation, he operates on me for 8 hours, removes all of my internal organs, lays them next to me and have to completely do radical surgery on me. I died twice on the operating table according to my Hospital record.
Spent 5 days out in ICU, didn't know what happened after arriving at Emergency room until about day 8-9. Spent 3 weeks in the hospital until a was strong enough to go home.
Before you ask, after consultation with my Attorney after, no exposure for them, because they saved my life, Spleen was burst one way or the other. If I would have died, different story, my family would be worth Millions.
So I recuperate for about a 3 weeks, am starting to feel pretty good. Good enough to drive to the store and rent movies, I have been doing this for about a week when some guy cuts me off in the parking lot and in turning the steering wheel on my F350 truck I hit a curb, it spun the wheel 180 degrees. My right hand has gone through the steering wheel, Cue: Sound of bones breaking. No ambulance, call buddy of mine, he picks me up, takes me to emergency room, Wrist broken in 2 places, cast (Silver this time) from first knuckle back to just below elbow.
Now Have a cast Left Foot to Knee, Left Wrist to elbow, and Right wrist to elbow. And am slit wide open fom Belly Button to Sternum.
Cue the no girlfriend problem. Ever tried to wipe your a$$ with both wrists in casts, let me just say one can get pretty creative. Or take a shower, or just about anything, thank god for Female friends!!!!!!!! Spent a little over 1 month in all three casts, and then another two weeks of both wrists in casts.
Missed three months of work, medical bills were over $250,000.00. I had insurance as a Federal Employee, cost me a about $100 in Co-Pay's for followup office visits.

I'm pretty sure that part is completely untrue. It makes me wonder who the attorney is. The attorney is saying its OK if the hospital is grossly negligent as long as you don't die. (Not saying this was the case, but you get the point.)

I repaired a switchblade knife for a guy once (and sharpened it quite nicely as well). As I was showing him how well it worked it sprung open with more force than I was prepared for (too much spring tension), it slipped from my hand but I caught it. The blade went right between my ring finger and pinky resulting in 10 stitches.
As a toddler I used to throw fits that would result in me holding my breath until I passed out, my wife blames that for my lack of collecting focus.
This gem happened to a guy I know. A few friends were out drinking and driving in the country, when the driver hit a stop sign. My well oiled friend exited the vehicle and decided he wanted to take the stop sign and post with him. Well it was still in the ground but severly leaning, so he decided to jump up and down on it to free it from the ground. His impaired state caused him to lose balance and the sign post sprung up, sliced his jeans and more importantly his scrotum. In horror he peered down to discover one of his "boys" was dangling free. He had to ride to the ER holding his junk together, they stitched him up and he still leads a normal life.

I wouldn't either. It doesn't sounds like you believe some doctor purposely went out to hurt you and that they saved you. We have a crazy system when you can save someone's like and earn a lawsuit. No offense to any lawyers in the house.

had a jeep wreck once on mang yang pass and 2 guys were trapped undeerneath jeep, i was sticking halfwayout with legs pinning under, the ese poeople wanted to flip it and itwas gonna blast em all if the didnt get back i told em go get the mps lol- i didnt get hurt, but if they wouod have flipped that jeep they could have killed me or my 2 biddies trapped under,they were the ones that told me dont let em flip it, pop em if ya have to- some body u.s will come along pretty quick hopefully, that sucked
