How the heck can you prove it? You tube video of you trimming it? If you send it to PSA or SGC they will just argue their opinions are incorrect. Seems a weasly way to drum up buisness.
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set
Indeed it does. But what happens if they "verify" a card as NOT TRIMMED/NOT COURTERFEIT when you know it is, in fact, trimmed/counterfeit because you trimmed it.
Reputable grading-outfits do NOT generally "over-defend" their mistakes. (The SEC filings of CLCT speak to the issue of warranty-claims. If they make a mistake, they make it right.)
IF the subject company is legit, they would honor their warranty.
"Verification" is not really that ambiguous. There are lots of well accepted ways to "verify" in a warranty dispute.

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!
Are they anticipating immediate cross-overs to PSA or BGS?
Why $1500? Why not $5000?
What about a recolored 62 Topps card?
These guys are definitely not marketing geniuses.
If they were trying to establish integrity, it sure as hell backfired.
All they're missing is "AS SEEN ON TV" or "ACT NOW AND WE'LL SEND YOU A SECOND GRADING ABSOLUTELY FREE!" or something along those lines.
They'll probably be extinct before this thread ends.
