Quick question: If doing a cross-over and its pedigreed, does the pedigree cross too?

In my experience, it has. Of course, it depends on the pedigree, the documentation, etc.

I believe the answer is, only if you want it to. This goes for reholder as well.

I've done two such crossovers in the last year: a Pittman half dime and a plate coin from the half dime book. On one (plate coin) I included a note requesting maintenance of the pedigree. On the other, I didn't even mention it. In both cases, the coins were holdered with the pedigree intact

I sent in a NGC capped bust half with a Reiver pedigree with no mention of it on the submission form and it DID NOT make its way onto the PCGS holder.

I've only sent in one pedigreed coin (a Pittman) to PCGS for crossover. The coin crossed and the pedigree did too.

I crossed two NGC CBH's with Overton attribution....did NOT carry over!!!!!

Of course I didn't ask for the attribute either.

I assume that would be another $30....no need, since I already know the O-xxx from NGC.

Yes, make sure you mark it on the submission sheet though. If they do NOT put it on even though put it on the sheet they'll look it up on their archival copy and put it on "for free", as in you pay shipping to them. Counts as a mechanical error or something like that. You should call asap if that happens else you may not get it. I had mine clearly marked, got it back w/o and sent it back in to get the pedigree.
