For those of you who are not members of the NBS, you are missing out on a treat in the latest issue
Hopefully most people on these boards are members of the Numismatic Bibliomania Society, which is a group interested in numismatic literature. In addition to the weekly e-newsletter called Esylum, you get a quarterly print publication, called The Asylum. The latest issue, which just arrived in my mailbox yesterday, is truly spectacular. I think the dues are $25 a year, which is dirt cheap.
For your information, and to show you what you're missing, here is a list of the articles in the latest issue. I hope to have a further discussion about some of this in a little while:
(1) "A Bibliographic Guide to American Content in the National Numismatic Collection", by some guy named Leonard Augsburger
(2) "How to Suceed in Numismatic Publishing (by Really Trying)", by some other guy I never heard of, Dennis Tucker
(3) "Self Publishing Has Been Quite an Adventure", by Roger deWardt Lane
