could they possibly end the world series in a rain-shortened game?

this is INSANE wind and rain. and weather.com shows NO letting up tonight.

what can they do? it's going past the bot of the 5th. that's a legal game, right?

    That is not the way I read the article. The article spoke of games that never started and were postponed.

    Read the very last paragraph.

    The weather is sure not worth playing through, I cant imagine they would ever call the game. The official they had on said it could be continued tomorrow.

    Looks to me that the "time" is still up in the air ... I think even the "day" is still up in the air ...

    Game 5 of World Series suspended because of rain in 6th inning

    Buck and McCarver had me laughing. They droned on and on about if the Phillies had a 2-1 lead and the game could not be played the series would be over. They cited the fact that post season games have the same rules as regular season games. Ummmmm yeah .... like MLB could possibly let THAT happen. Buck and McCarver are HIDEOUS.

    Speaking for SteveK as I have read his thousands of posts and have a great feel for what he would say, He would say they should end the game and call the series over in favor of the Phillies. Congrats to the Phillies on their 2008 Championship. image
