Anyone have any TTM experiences with Hank Aaron

According to http://www.sportscollectors.net people are reporting Hank is signing again... has anyone TTM'ed him in the past few weeks and if so do you think it's a real signature?

On the site it looks like there are mixed opinions if Hank is really signing.

I would be skeptical of the picture. The last name is too smooth.

His sig has changed a lot over the years, mine is legit but not pretty at all.

  • there has been lot of reports that Hank stamps his TTM requests, do you think the picture was stamped?

  • It doesnt look stamped but there are rumors that the aotos are secretarial(did i spell that right).

I've heard that also. Again, if you want to be sure the right person signed it, you have to watch him sign it. Even then it might not pass authentication, but you'll KNOW it's legit.

  • You cant judge the difference in signatures either . I got a ball signed many years ago when i went on vacation to Atlanta and he seemed a bit rushed and i got a perez-steele postcard in a psa holder and the autos look way different but i know both are good

Agreed... I bought a cheap early 60's card on ebay - I might give it a try...

I sent a request to Aaron TTM back a few months ago and got this back in only a three day turnaround:

His secretary signed the sleeve of the card and not the actual card itself, so thank goodness they didn't ruin my rookie card.

I then sent the rookie card to a Steiner signing at Last Lick's in New York, and this is what I got back, an authentic Aaron signature, not a secretarial.

At least they don't seem to ruin the vintage cards with fake signatures, there are several reports that the secretary signs the sleeve on the vintage cards instead of the card itself.

    Hope this helps,

    Fake.^^ That's not Hank Aaron's signature, I'm 100% sure.

Nice job, Mike Navarro. I know it may have cost you some coin to get it done that way, but in my opinion, it's well worth it. Congrats!
  • Mike what did Steiner charge for the sig?

It was pretty close to $196.00 or so for the autograph with shipping.

    Take care,

I believe it was worth the money to be sure you got him to sign and not a forger
  • Here is my TTM experience. I believe it's legit.

BW - that does look much closer to being real... when did you send it to Hank?

Sent out 4/24/06 and got it back 161 days later. I think being from Milwaukee might have helped my cause a little.
